General Mediator Training Courses
|
HKMC provides the General Mediator Training Course to people from different industries who intend to become professional mediators, and to those who wish to enhance personal abilities. It has more than 25 years of experience in organising such courses, and is the major institution providing such courses with a market share of around 50%. It also co-organises the courses with many long-term partners, namely the School of Continuing and Professional Studies of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Lingnan Institute of Further Education, St. James’ Settlement Continued Education Centre, and the Academy of International Dispute Resolution & Professional Negotiation. Over the years, the total number of training sessions offered has exceeded 370, with over 22,000 participants trained.
Upon completion of the General Mediator Training Course, a “Certificate of General Mediator Training Course” will be issued to participants who have achieved 100% attendance rate and have passed course-end assessment. With this Certificate, participants can apply directly with the Hong Kong Mediation Accreditation Association Limited (“HKMAAL”) for attempting accreditation.
